To make adopting digital work instructions in Operations1 as efficient as possible and eliminate the need for manual copy-and-paste when transferring content from existing PDF, Word, or PowerPoint documents, we have developed the AI Document Automator.
With just one click, you can:
Create a new, error-free Operations1 document from existing content,
Reduce the effort required by employees during document creation, and
Enable quick and productive use of Operations1.
The AI Document Automator uses artificial intelligence to understand the context and content of existing documents and seamlessly transfer them into the Operations1 document structure. This includes automatically generating steps and workflows, creating suitable interactions, and assigning images to the corresponding workflows.
How the AI Document Automator Works
The AI Document Automator is located in the Documents section, right next to the option for manually creating new documents.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Upload a File: Select a
.pdf
,.docx
, or.pptx
file to upload.Choose Target Language: Specify the target language for the document.
Generate Document: Click Generate. Processing takes only a few seconds, depending on the document size.
Edit in Document Editor: Once generated, the result is displayed directly in the document editor, where you can make adjustments.
Special Notes
Image Assignment: For PDF uploads, included images are automatically extracted and assigned to the corresponding workflows. Unassigned images will appear in the Media tab and can be manually inserted.
Limitations for Document Types: Scanned documents are currently not supported. Word and PowerPoint files can be converted to PDF beforehand and then uploaded.
Variable Results: As the functionality is AI-based, results for the same document may vary.
Technical Information
As with many of our services, the AI Document Automator leverages Microsoft Azure services. Document structuring is performed using Azure AI Services, hosted in the European region.
Note: The AI Document Automator function can be used free of charge by Operations1 customers until the end of Q1 2025 with up to 100 document generations per month. The AI Document Automator represents a new/additional functionality and not merely an update and is made available to our customers for the above-mentioned period, in deviation from the regulation on the granting of rights of use to the Operations1 platform. This free intro phase does not constitute a claim to permanent provision free of charge.
