How to clear the cache in your browser

A website such as Operations1 makes use of browser cache.
In this cache the browser remembers the contents of the website in order to load them from this memory the next time they are accessed instead of loading them from the server each time. The big advantage of this are significantly faster loading times.
A disadvantage is that this data can lead to unexpected behaviour during operation. For example, if content has been renewed and the cache still contains an old version.

In order to ensure the smooth functionality of Operations1 on your end device, it is therefore sometimes necessary to reset the cache of the internet browser.

For Google Chrome:

  1. At the top right of your browser, click More.

  2. Click More tools > Clear browsing data.

  3. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.

  4. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.

  5. Click Clear data.

For Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge, select Menu (3 dots icon on top right corner of the browser) > Settings > Privacy & services.

  2. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.

  3. Select "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data" check box and then select Clear.

  4. Select Clear now.

For Firefox:

  1. Click on the menu button in the upper right corner of the browser and choose Preferences.

  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.

  3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data…

  4. Ensure a check mark next to Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content and click on Clear.

  5. Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

For Safari:

  1. Inside of Safari select Safari -> Preferences... in the menu bar.

  2. Click the Privacy tab and select Manage Website Data....

  3. Select a website that is listed, then click Remove. To remove all website data from Safari, click Remove All.

Restart the respective browser to apply the changes.
