Hide the media preview
Do you use multiple media in one process step?
If so, when you are working through a report, a media preview appears at the bottom of the screen when you open a medium in full-screen mode. You can use this preview to jump between all the media in the respective step, even without switching back to the editing view.
Until now, the media preview was always visible as soon as multiple media were present.
We want to make it more convenient for you to work on your tablet or cell phone, especially when reading PDFs in landscape mode.
For this purpose, we have added a button to the media preview that allows you to collapse it.
Clicking the arrow button minimizes the media preview, and it can be expanded again if required.
The last selected view is saved. This means that even if you close and reopen the full-screen view, the preview will still be collapsed or expanded - depending on what the latest setting was.
If the preview is collapsed, you will have more space on the screen for the actual media from now on.
Please let us know via support if this improvement helps you to reduce the effort and if our software is easier to use with it. We are looking forward to feedback.
New media-thumbnails
In the view for editing documents and reports, media are initially displayed as thumbnails - that is, as small preview images.
To make it easier to distinguish between the different media types - image, video or PDF - the thumbnails now have an additional icon.
You will now find the new thumbnails in all places where media can be used.
We look forward to your feedback on how the new thumbnail view makes your work easier.
Easier use of the video editor on small screens
The video editor provides the ability to trim videos, turn the sound on or off, and specify whether to have videos start automatically or play them in a continuous loop.
We have slimmed down the user interface to make it easier to use on devices with smaller screens.
With the new design, you can now easily edit videos even on touchscreen-only devices.
Let us know if you share our view on the improvement or if you have further suggestions.
Locating QR codes
The creation of QR codes is possible both during document creation and in the corresponding area in the system settings.
To break a link between document and QR code, the QR code can be removed from the document.
Only if QR codes are not used, it is possible to first archive and then delete them via the system settings.
We now make it easier for you to identify if and where QR codes are used.
For this purpose, you will find an additional column in the QR codes section of the system settings, in which the number of documents that use the QR code is shown. By clicking on the number, you can now jump to the corresponding documents.
Within the document table you will also find a new filter option to search for documents with specific QR codes.
The indicator of the number of documents using the QR code in question can now be found in the table of both active and archived QR codes.
We would be happy to hear what you are thinking of the improvements within this sprint. Feel free to contact your customer success manager or our support team for any feedback or further suggestions.
