In Operations1 you can use filters to filter your orders, rules, documents, reports as well as materials and media. This allows you, to find the information and documents you are looking for more quickly and only the information which is relevant for your daily work is displayed. This is especially useful for large data sets. You can save frequently used filters for reuse. In addition, it is possible to set user-defined filters.
Use, save and select filters
Via the classifiers you open a window for filtering the data. There, you can use filters, save them and select saved filters.
Use filters
You use the classifiers (classes with their class characteristics) to filter your data, such as documents. You set the search options via the gear icon. There you can choose between union and intersection for the search result mode and the classifier filtering mode (To filter connected classifiers, the option only connected must be selected beforehand.).
Union: all data containing at least one of the selected classifiers
Intersection: all data that contain the selected classifiers at the same time
Save filters
If you want to save your set filters, click the save icon. Enter a name for the filter and click save filter.
Set saved filters
To set a saved filter, click standard filter. Use the magnifier symbol to select a saved filter. You can set default filters for the Editor and Assistant.
Assign filters to single and multiple users
For users, you can set predefined filters via the user settings. To do this, select the filters for the Editor or Assistant and save the changes in the user account.
You can also assign a filter to multiple users at the same time: How to create a new user or role and assign their rights and functions
Restrict filters for users
It is also possible to restrict filters for users. This prevents users from removing the filters assigned to them. To restrict a filter, go to the filter settings and select the restriction using the lock icon. Then click confirm.
All users, who have assigned this predefined filter, can no longer deselect the filters. This can be recognized by the lock symbols. This is how you ensure, that your users are only shown the information that is relevant to them.
Important: Using custom filters is only a view setting, where the filters are pre-set for the user. It is not a permission setting.
