Ensuring occupational safety, just like process and product quality, is a central concern for every manufacturing company. The ongoing trend of skilled labor shortages amplifies the need to secure these cornerstones, as knowledge must be newly acquired and kept up to date.

With the Operations1 Qualification Management Module, we provide an additional building block for the entire value chain, linking the necessary knowledge of employees with the execution of their work.

Examples of qualifications may include:

  • Safety instructions

  • Initial training

  • Product training

  • Basic training

  • Time-limited permits

  • ...

Functionality in detail

In the Qualifications section, you can find an overview of all qualifications created on the platform.

Creating qualifications

Qualifications are created with a title and an optional description. Additionally, a relevant symbol for the qualification can be assigned from a library. A central element in creating a qualification is determining its validity. Here, a non-expiring qualification with unlimited validity can be created, or a validity period in days including a warning period can be defined. Once the validity period on the user level is reached, this equates to a missing qualification. The warning period currently serves only as a notice.

Linking with users

If a user has acquired a qualification, it can be assigned to the user via the user management in the individual user account and subsequently appears within the qualification.

Assignment in the user account:

Linking with documents

Created qualifications are assigned to each document in the information tab, indicating which qualification a user must have to start a report based on the document.

Assignment to the document:

Stop mechanism at report start

If a user attempts to start a report, it is checked whether they have been assigned the required qualifications. If this is not the case for at least one qualification, they will be prevented from executing the document until they have (re)acquired the qualification.
