New - New Top Navigation
With Operations1, we offer our users a particularly simple and intuitive software solution. The previous division into Editor and Assistant caused time expenditures and confusion when switching views for users who are involved in process execution, as well as in work preparation and planning. Especially for new users, the division was not intuitive and understandable at first glance. Therefore, we have now merged Editor and Assistant and made all core functions of Operations1 available in a new top navigation.
The most important changes are:
All functions typically relevant to operators are now summarized in the "Operations" section at the top of the new menu bar.
To start a new work instruction, checklist, or another process without an associated order, the menu item "Start Report" is now available, where a document can be selected as usual.
The QR code scanner for filtering documents is also found under "Start Report."
All functions that a previous Editor user needed are located in the same menu bar under "Resources," "Management," and with the appropriate permissions under the same menu items in "Operations."
New - Refreshed Design
At the same time, with version 9.0, we have also refreshed the design of Operations1. Most noticeable is the new menu bar, now with new icons, space-saving and better organized to make all functions quickly accessible. We have also updated the color scheme to improve accessibility and meet the AAA level of the WCAG standards (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) by increasing color contrasts. Together with changes such as the recently adjusted font, standardized components like tabs, buttons, and text fields, and other minor adjustments that will continue into future versions, we make Operations1 even easier to use and understand.
New - Simplified Permissions
With the merger of Editor and Assistant, permissions are also simplified. With the update to 9.0, all user roles are automatically adjusted in the background, so every user can continue to access the same functionalities.
For permissions that previously existed in both Editor and Assistant, such as "Tasks," there is now a combined permission and, if necessary, sub-items like "Delete Tasks."
Fixed - Functional impairments corrected
Fixing an issue that prevented the PDF report from being successfully created
Change notes are now saved when publishing documents in all cases
Possibility to record videos directly when using the apps has been restored
